Maintaining Balance and Excellence whilst Teaching and Leading
Course title: Maintaining Balance and Excellence whilst Teaching and Leading
“Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.” Og Mandino
Who should attend:
Teachers with an additional leadership/managerial role (or vice versa).
Balancing a teaching timetable along with a leadership role can be extremely challenging. Have you ever wondered why some middle leaders struggle with prioritising and keeping to deadlines, and some do not? How does one maintain excellent classroom teaching whilst also leading effectively? This course will give participants skills and strategies to prioritise, delegate and organise their time more effectively and introduce wholesome habits. The aim is for delegates to reduce stress, whilst maintaining (or increasing) performance in their leadership role, whilst maintaining a high standard of teaching.
By the end of the course:
Delegates will develop skills to be effective in their leadership role, whilst maintaining high standards of teaching. Participants will complete an action plan, to enable course concepts to be put into action.
This training can be delivered in-school as part of a training day or as an after-school 2-hour twilight session. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
What delegates have said:
“The training was delivered in a pacey, engaging way and provided down-to-earth practical advice that my teachers were able to put into practice immediately. The training was extremely useful and my staff, enthused by the trainer’s message, could be overheard discussing ways to implement many of his suggestions and approaches to managing time more efficiently. Time well spent!"
