Building Relationships between Governors and Schools
“One of the fastest ways to find the solution to an issue or challenge you are facing is to ask the right questions.” Robin S. Sharma
Who should attend:
School/ academy governors
Governing bodies typically possess a wide range of leadership skills, but how to best utilise these in the context of a school governing body is not always easy, especially given the time constraints faced. This course will focus on what things governors may undertake which will enable a healthy relationship to grow between the governors and the school, as well as looking at what governors can do to offer both support and challenge, whilst maintaining a focus on strategic rather than operational tasks.
By the end of the course:
Governors will have a clearer idea on what kind of tasks in school are both appropriate and useful so that they can fulfil their role by supporting and challenging at a strategic level.
This training can be delivered in-school as part of a training day, or before/ after a governors' meeting. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
What delegates have said:
“Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience the training allowed us to reflect on our practises and question our decision-making process at our school.”
